Going home on The Deuce

So this is my view from my first class seat. Today I had to sit and listen to some guys complaining about how they feel that the Betty Crocker recipes are too hard. Other than that, it was smooth sailing.

My first Blog

Hello everyone. This is a measly attempt to kill time at work (which I saw on the news today, costs employers over 900 billion dollars a year, ha ha!!).

For starters, I'm calling this blog "Taking the Deuce" because that is what I do to get to work. I take the bus the goes up and down the Las Vegas strip. It's a double decker bus, so hence the name, "THE DEUCE!!". I'm not too fond of The Deuce. It's a bus that has no set schedule (although they claim to have one). It's made me late to work on many occasions.

I think what I hate most though, are the Las Vegas tourists. Before I begin my schpiel, I will say that I just moved to Las Vegas. I'm a native NY'er. I lived in Astoria for 20 years. I come from a "tourist" town so I know what tourist SHOULD behave like. Well, that rule goes FLYING out the window here in Vegas. Perhaps it's that whole mentality of "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" that sets these people off, but give me a break.

Pretty much, they act like a bunch of 16 year old kids at a dude ranch for their first time who are away from home and their parents. I'm definitely not a grouch, and I know these people are out to have a good time, which is PERFECTLY fine, but there is NO need to make an ass out of yourself. If these people were to try these antics in NYC, I guarantee SOMEONE would be shoving a foot up their asses.

This little blog well just talk about things occuring in Las Vegas. Mostly, I'd just be rambling to my delight on anything I feel is worth rambling about. Vegas is growing on me. I MISS NYC TO DEATH, but I think I'll be in Vegas for a while, so I guess I should start calling it home. Perhaps my love for this town will unravel during the course of this blog. Who knows.

In the time to come, I will be taking pictures from my phone, and posting them on this. My Sony Ericsson is a kick-ass phone that lets me take pictures and post them right on this. Feel free to comment. I'd love to read what some folks might have to say.
